The Tour Returns!
We are back in action…
We are slowly making our way back into monthly events and activities at Lone Fir Cemetery. We are starting off with our monthly historical tour and the first one will kick off in July on the regular cadence of the Second Saturday- July 10th- at 10am. The tour will begin at the Soldiers Monument in the center of the cemetery and will last approximately 2 hours. Suggested donations are $10 and you can reserve a spot in advance on our website. We highly advise that you reserve a spot in advance since we will keep a limit of 30 people to maintain social distancing. We will allow for walk ups but we will be diligent upon maintaining the headcount for the tours at 30- this includes FLFC volunteers. That total will be split into two groups to also ensure this measure. Along with social distancing we will require all attendees to wear masks for the tour at all times.
New tours are form 10am to noon on:
- July 10
- August 14
- September 11th
Additionally, we will be having the more detailed “Stories in Stone” tours on:
- August 7th – Stories in Stone north
- September 4th – Stories in Stone south
- October 2nd – Stories in Stone north
- November 6th – Stories in Stone south
- December 4th – Stories in Stone north
Our goal is to add other tours as well as our monthly headstone workshops so stay tuned here and on our social media for news on that. More to come…
